Eileen McNeill studied at the College of Homoeopathy, London and graduated with a licentiate qualification in the Summer of 2003.
Her interest in homoeopathy grew when she was a patient herself, which led her to enrol in the 4 year course.
While at the College of Homoeopathy, Eileen was advised by Linda Razzell, one of her supervisors, to submit her research project on infertility to the editing team of the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths for possible publishing. As a result of extensive work as well as interviews that she did for the project, her work was published in Homeopathy in Practice, the journal of the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths.
Eileen's extensive research into homeopathic treatment for fertility started in 2001 at Linda Razzell's Fertility Clinic in Greenwich. She was given the opportunity to sit in with patients and conduct case studies.
Eileen had 3 individual supervisors involved in her project. She had a supervisor around titles of projects, where she had to justify her title before she started to write, which was a challenge in itself! Also a supervisor in terms of co-ordinating the project, i.e. ensuring it was homoeopathic and that each chapter linked to the other. When she completed her research she was instrumental in introducing another method of addressing infertility into the clinic.
The project stood out because she did a number of interviews inside and outside the homoeopathic field.
Eileen has also done some important research into Autism since she qualified in the Summer of 2003.
She was approached by Dr Christopher K. Johannes, PHD, (Programme Director of the School of Complementary Medicine at Akamal University), to co-write an article entitled ‘The Integration of Homeopathy and Counselling’. This was also published in the Homeopathy in Practice Journal. Eileen intends to develop this work in the future and believes that it could work very effectively alongside homoeopathy.
